CONVEYOR BELTWhat is a Belt Conveyor? Conveyors can move materials by gravity or power. A conveyor can do more. It can move boxes UP against gravity DOWN or HORIZONTAL on a moving belt. The belt is moved by electric power. This is called a BELT CONVEYOR. It is a machine with a moving BELT. The machine is made with the part "Bed". A conveyor bed comes in many sizes-many lengths-many widths. Utility of a Conveyor Belt Conveyor Belts are one of the most widely used package handling power conveyors. Their construction is inexpensive, simple, quiet, and easy to install. They are frequently used for assembly operations and general transportation. Conveyor Belts are usually best where we must divert a package to a specific location in an exact time frame. Since there is less package slippage on a belted unit, timing can be more exact. Conveyor belt is a utility item that has multiple uses in industrial houses. It is mainly used for transporting bulk materials over long distances and transferring station and process supplies. Functions of Conveyor Belt: It is used in evacuating waste. It is used in extracting under hopper or silo. It can be used in heaping supply. It is used in transporting and extracting sand. Last but not the least, it is also employed in transferring ore and handling aggregate. Typically, conveyor roller supports a smooth belt that receives the bulk product. The belt is supported throughout its route by cylindrical rollers that are placed flat usually on a V, U, or trough-shaped structure. It also has a protective shielding on three sides with detachable mounting plates. Types of Conveyor Belts: 1- Industrial Belts 1 Examples are: V-Belts, V-Belts (Cogged), Double Sided V-Belts V-belts are the most sensible, cost effective and dependable belts for most industrial drives. The rubber impregnated fabric cover on v-belts is woven for superior flexibility and friction resistance. These belts are recommended for all general purpose drives with high horsepower ratings. 2- Industrial Belts 2 Examples are: Variable Speed Belts, Poly V-Belts, Neoprene Timing Belts , Polyurethane Timing Belts, Dual Sided Neoprene Timing Belts, Double Sided Polyurethane Timing Belts. 3- Metric Belts Examples are: Metric V-Belts, Polyurethane Metric belts, Metric Variable Speed Belt, HTD Belts, Super Torque Belts, PolyFlex Belts, Banded PolyFlex Belts. metric v-belts, variable speed and timing belts that provide the highest performance and the perfect fit for foreign-made machinery. Metric timing belts are available in different pitches. Metric timing belts are specified by belt width, belt pitch, and pitch length. 4- Heavy & Light Duty Conveyor Belting Depending on needs, we use Urethane, Nylon, PVC or Rubber to make sure that it is the correct choice for our application. Many conveyor belts are available for: the Food Industry, Package Handling, Sand & Gravel, Manufacturing, and Supermarkets with Checkout or Bagger Belts. Available in rolls, endless, prepared ends and laced, plus a wide variety of cleats, v-guides, flanges, perforation. 5- Printing Belts Users of automated machinery such as Miehle, Miller, Marinoni, Muller-Martini, Goss, Baum, Heidelberg, Harris and others have relied to provide tapes and round belts for those demanding applications where down time simple cannot be tolerated. Expertise allows to custom cut and make all widths and lengths. Expertise understand the needs of customers who print paper. These belts don't stretch or mark the paper, they dissipate static electricity, and are easy to join on the machine. 6- Agriculture Belts Examples are: Ply Cover Belt, Ply Mini Roughtop Cover Belt, Ply V-Top Cover Belt, Ply Conti-Chevron Cover Belt, Baler Beliting. Baler Belting Baler Belts have been designed specifically for round baler. This design offers durable, long lasting belts you need to prevent trouble in the field. The two ply smooth belts are designed for general purpose and lower density bales. The three ply textured belts work best for heavy-duty applications such as silage bales and difficult haying conditions due to less belt slippage. |
