Features of a Conveyor Rollers The roller conveyor system has been around for many years and is a well proven method of product transportation or accumulation. It is especially useful in avoiding the pressure buildup that normally occurs when product accumulates at a stationary operation. 4- Flexible Conveyor Roller: Conveyor roller is portable, expandable and easy to use. It is used extensively in shipping/receiving operations for package handling; flexible conveyor is usually anchored at one end to the automated conveyor allowing the other end to be expanded for loading and unloading. Uses of a Conveyor Roller Conveyor roller is used to transport heavy industrial appliances within the industry premises. According to experts conveyor rollers are better alternative to conveyor belts as they consume less power. Actually, in case of conveyor rollers the belt travels on low friction ball bearing rollers that results in less horsepower consumption.
